Statement of Equality
The BMA states clearly and without reservation that all beings are equal and free regardless of their existential circumstance. The BMA (UK) openly and clearly opposes:
1) Racism
2) Sexism
3) Discrimination Against the Disabled
4) Ageism
5) Genderism
6) Homophobia
7) Cruelty to Animals
8) Violence
9) Greed
10) Hatred
11) Delusion
12) Class Privilege
Through the use of Buddhist and Marxist thinking, and other suitable systems of thought, the BMA (UK) seeks to uplift and enhance the ordinary people around the world, protects the environment, and encourages the good care of animals. The BMA (UK) supports the notion that at the heart of Buddhist and Marxist thinking lies a central loving kindness and compassion that has the power to transform the individual and the world they inhabit. Through the discipline of self-study the inner and outer world is transformed and Socialism an inevitable outcome. The BMA (UK) is a conduit that allows individuals and groups to access the deepest parts of the human psyche, so that all paradox and contradiction is eventually and permanently transcended.
