A Buddhist Response to Zionist-Fascism! (21.10.2023)
By Adrian Chan-Wyles PhD
The Buddha rejected war – but recognised that wars do happen. Even in the Pali Suttas the Buddha is recorded as advising warriors how to live a better life – encouraging these high-caste individuals to move away from resolving geo-political issues through the use of institutional violence (this activity is ‘spiritualised’ and religiously ‘justified’ in such Brahmanic texts as the Mahabharat, Bhagavad Gita and the Ramayana, etc). The lay-world, according to the Buddha, is the product of greed, hatred, and delusion, therefore, cycles of greed, hatred and delusion will manifest over and over again without end (a cycle of suffering termed ‘Samsara’). To escape from this cycle an individual must discipline the mind and body - and ‘uproot’ all psychological and physical traits that condition (and are conditioned by) all thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
The Buddha also stressed that when the mind and body is purified of greed, hatred, and delusion, then the state of ‘wisdom’ (Panna) arises. This allows the enlightened being to understand exactly how ALL dialectical trends of physical (psychological) reality arise, come into being and pass out of existence. The issue of Israel is an interesting case as in many ways it represents the full manifestation of a ‘White’, ‘racist’ and ‘oppressive’ State which exists to persecute a non-White population (the ‘Palestinians’) – whilst continuously justifying this racial abuse and genocide through continuously referencing the ‘Holocaust’ of German and Eastern European Jewry committed by Nazi Germany and its Catholic allies during WWII. Just as the monotheistic Jewish religion teaches that all Jews are spiritually and racially ‘superior’ when compared to non-Jews – the ideology of Zionist-fascism also teaches, by extension, that any and all suffering experienced by Jews is of a more ‘important’ standard than that suffered by any other people.
It is obvious that the Zionist State of Israel is NOT defending itself from a powerful enemy. This is a ‘White’ Settler State founded upon a movement of ‘White’ Zionist terrorism in the Palestinian region – a ‘White’ terrorist movement that possessed very close ties with Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany in the early 1930s, and which continuously carried-out attack on British soldiers who were tasked to ‘protect’ the Palestinian people from the excesses of Zionist aggression. In 1947, without any agreement from the Palestinian people, the UN ‘gave’ half of Palestine to the Zionist terrorists – as a ‘reward’ for their collective aggression and destructive tendencies. Zionist-perpetuated massacres then ensued as Palestinians reluctant to leave their ancestral homes were subjected to the violence of modern weaponry – whilst women and children were raped. Indeed, following widespread reports of Zionist massacres, the UN despatched ‘Folke Bernadotte’ in 1948 to investigate these Jewish crimes. As he stepped off the aeroplane a Zionist shot him dead. The International Community carried-out NO punitive action against Israel for this murder.
Monotheistic religion is the key to this conflict. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all theologically and historically related, and yet all conflict with one another, as each claims an ‘exclusivity’ that rejects all other teachings and philosophical paths (including ‘Buddhism’). The Palestinian people react to the aggression perpetuated by Zionist-fascism through the rubric of the Islamic faith and a tangible sense that a great injustice is being committed against them. Why does the West ‘privilege’ the ‘White’ (Zionist) Jews – whilst denigrating the non-White (Islamic) Arabs? The answer evolves around ‘skin-colour’. A Buddhist population would seek to inwardly ‘break’ the cycle of greed, hatred, and delusion in relation to the outer manifestations of greed, hatred, and delusion. Slowly but surely, as the inner terrain changes – the outer terrain also transitions away from what it once was. Although Buddhists have fought in China, Korea, and Vietnam, etc, this reaction tends to be of a decisive nature that always seeks to end violence rather than to perpetuate this violence.
